Our nursery offers a caring, stimulating learning environment and welcomes children from the start of the term after their third birthday. We offer a bright, modern building with excellent resources and our children also have the benefit of an outdoor area and wildlife garden. The nursery is based in the Foundation Stage Unit with the reception class and is run by Miss Jones.
We can offer full days (9.00am to 3.30pm) and flexible places. Children are entitled to 15 hours of free nursery care (and for parents who fit the criteria 15 additional hours totalling 30 hours of free nursery care) funded by the Local Authority from the start of the term following their third birthday. If required additional hours can be purchased for £20 per day or £10 per half day, lunchtime can be added to morning sessions for £2.50. Children can bring in packed lunches or buy school dinners.
Places are flexible but we recommend that parents request either morning or afternoon sessions in order for the children to fully access the curriculum and then add on any additional sessions needed. If necessary (for example to match parents' working patterns) children can attend for just a couple of full days.
Morning sessions 9.00 - 12.00
Afternoon sessions 12.30 - 3.30
Lunchtime session (as an add on to am session) 12.00 - 1.00
The Nursery Admissions Policy is in the policies section of the website. Please contact us if you have any questions or would like to arrange a visit. Please note that attendance at nursery does not guarantee a place in the reception class, this is a separate admissions policy and the process is managed by Derbyshire County Council.
