Visits to our churches

Harvest Service 2023
We went to Christ Church, for our Harvest Service. Reverend Bruce delivered a lovely service and we reflected on helping people who are less fortunate. We collected in generous donations and displayed our fabulous art work and prayers. The choir and the children sang beautifully! It was a service enjoyed by all members of our school community.
We went to see the Christmas Tree Festival at Christ Church. All the trees were decorated with a theme of Christmas carols, ours was 'Little Donkey'. We sang for the mayor and then we asked him lots of tricky questions!
Class 1 and 2 enjoyed their visit to Christ Church. We got a tour of the church and we even got to ring the church bell. The children had a fantastic time and learnt what the features of the church were called.

Class 3 visited the URC today for a Christmas afternoon. The children had a lovely time and learnt so much.
Thank you URC for a super afternoon.

Class 2,3 and 4 went up to the United Reformed Church to preview the WW1 exhibition in memory of the fallen soldiers from Tintwistle. The children were extremely respectful and sang our Remembrance song in the URC and again at the Cenotaph. All children at school have taken part in Remembrance activities this week.

Thank you to the URC for all of your hard work and our invite.

Year 5 visited St. Mary's in Hollingworth for a morning of prayer. Thanks to Reverend Bruce and the team for making us all feel so welcome.
